“The Big Kahuna” originally broke into broadcasting as the morning DJ at Z93 in 1989, in 1994 he went on to Las Vegas where he had a highly rated morning show for 12 years. In 2006 he came back to the Central Coast where for the last four years wasted away playing an uninspired short list of not so great hits….Now after toiling away in mediocrity he found his way as the co-host of the highly rated Coast Morning show. Kahuna lives in Atascadero with his Fiancée Lana; they have three grown children between them and enjoy having fun and being empty nesters. (For the time being) Kahuna is an avid golfer, Harley Rider and sports fan whose favorite teams are the Giants, The 49rs and the Lakers.
Laurie West

Originally from the Valley, Laurie moved to the Central Coast at 17. Her first radio job was in SLO, but quickly transferred to the Valley just three months later. Working in the Bakersfield, Fresno, and Sacramento markets, Laurie is no stranger to the industry, but always longed to be back on the Central Coast. In 2009 Laurie with her two sons Dakota and Darian, moved to Morro Bay and soon after landed her dream job at Coast 101.3.
A self described “foodie,” Laurie loves to cook, sing, and be merry! She has four kids – the two oldest, Dustin and Jessica live in Fresno, Darian is a chef locally and the youngest, Dakota loves to play guitar and is quite the singer. When her kids aren’t keeping her busy, she loves long walks on the beach with her boyfriend Ron. They also enjoy yard sales and repurposing their finds.
